Sept 17 (Reuters) – The interest rate on the most common U.S. home loan rose to a 20-month high this week, mortgage giant Freddie Mac said on Thursday.
The rate on a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage rose 19 basis points to 6.95% as of Wednesday – the highest since January 2025 – from 6.76% last week, Freddie Mac said.
