LANSING, MI — Every year, the City of Lansing hosts an event to honor and remember those who lost their lives, the families, and the survivors of September 11, 2001, at Wentworth Park in downtown Lansing.
The 2026 ceremony will take place at 8:30 am on Friday, Sept. 11, at Wentworth Park. According to a press relesae, flags will be placed around the Michigan September 11 Memorial to honor each of those from Michigan who perished that day.
Speakers tomorrow morning will include Chief Carrie Edwards-Clemons, Lansing Fire Department, and Chief Robert Backus, Lansing Police Department.
