EAST LANSING, MI — Spartan Ventures, the fundraising arm of Michigan State University athletics, is officially searching for a new leader, according to a report from the Detroit Fere Press.
Spartan Ventures CEO Jon Palumbo is following former MSU Athletic Director J Batt to the University of Kentucky, according to the report.
The school confirmed that Palumbo has been named Executive Deputy Athletics Director and Deputy CEO of Champions Blue, a similar initiative to Spartan Ventures.
MSU recently hired Dan Bartholomae as its new atheltic director. Bartholomae was the former AD at Western Michigan University.
Bartholomae will take over Palumbo’s duties as the primary sport administrator for football, according to the Free Press reports, MSU will now conduct a national search for a new CEO of Spartan Ventures, which launched earlier this summer.
