Span was born to two loving parents in a nice upper middle class home in Detroit, MI. Before carefully accumulating a large, comfy keg of a stomach he was a two sport all-state athlete and Honor Society student. He went on to accumulate 222 credit hours through two universities and a college without earning a degree before realizing that his real passion was being a broke radio dj. Another chunk of money later to yet another school and he worked that into a part-time gig at Q106. Through hard work and giving away his labor he turned that into a full-time gig with Music Director stripes. Having interviewed everyone from gods like Gavis Rossdale, Slash and Sammy Hagar to godlings like and Josh Katz of Badflower and Mike Protich of Red Sun Rising/The Violent he has accumulated a large following of listeners that have made him the #1 Night Talent in Mid-Michigan for nine years running. Along the way he’s hosted concert events, public announced for a professional baseball team, announced and color commentated pro basketball and prowrestling shows, hosts his own rock/mma podcast called Beats And Beatdowns and a separate current events podcast, earned belts in several martial arts including Tae Kwon Do and Judo and does stand up comedy whenever covid-19 mandates haven’t shuttered the giggle bars.
