“This is something we do often.
Whenever my Fiance and I go on a date, being the social butterflies we are, we come up with alter egos. We talk to a lot of people.
I usually Go as Lucian MaCavoy and she goes as Lana Cordova. We are two wildlife photographers who travel the world. We usually give a backstory on how we met in the Serengeti plains photographing the big 5, (lions, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino).
We tell stories of our adventures and create this fantasy world where we live.
We have done this in Colorado, Florida, Tennessee, The Bahamas and whatever route we take to get there.
We leave our lives behind in Michigan and travel as these two personalities. Not for gain, but for adventure.
Sometimes I will propose to her in the most inconvenient places or vice versa, to try and embarrass each other. It never works and sometimes we tell each other no to get reactions.”

“Perfect Goth girl date. Had a candlelight dinner in a Beautiful Cemetery, then a night hike thru a Bat Sanctuary followed by drinks at the Witches Brew. 👻🖤 Was a perfect date.”

“The date of my birth. It started out as a warm and cozy day but ended with a lot of screaming and tears. Not by me but by her. I just wanted a nap.”

“Was several years ago in Arizona.
I went out on a date, a picnic more specifically. And thought being around Valentine’s Day that heart shaped sandwiches would be cute and kind of romantic.”

“I took my wife to the soup kitchen but they were closed.”

“Blind date! Met this beautiful redhead at a graduation party. She was dressed to the irons and ready! We drank all their beer and found a quiet bar to get to know each other! We decided get married ASAP at that bar, saw each other intently and got married ten months later! It was almost 42 years when she passed two years ago! We worked hard and accumulated into a wonderful life…”

“I planned a trip to Atlantic City. I had the bags in the trunk. As a guise I had a friend ask him to come and look at a house she was considering buying (he was a house inspector) So we leave Norfolk VA and start across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and were driving like an hour and he’s like where the heck is this house?!?! And I’m like I sooo got you! And he won over $700 playing Black Jack!”

“He took me on a walk where there was a lantern lighting on a lake, then we shared ice cream and coffee. Afterwards we went home and did a dungeons and dragons couple themed adventure and made D&D themed cocktails.”

“Ever since we met over five years ago, my girlfriend has been obsessed with the show Schitt’s Creek (coincidentally enough this show stars the recently deceased great actress Catherine O’Hara). I wanted to surprise her for Valentine’s Day a few years back so I reserved an Airbnb down in Cincinatti that was made to be a replica of the hotel that the show takes place in. The Airbnb hosts did an incredible job of making it 1:1 with the show. My girlfriend had no idea where we were going as we drove the 4 hours down to the Cincinatti area to this thematic Airbnb. When we arrived she saw a sign that said “Creek Suite” and started to piece together by the font what this might mean. By seeing the look on her face as she ran around the Airbnb noticing just how close this Airbnb was to the actual decor of the film set was so adorable. By far one of my better date ideas that I have ever had. I love being able to give people really immersive experiences of stuff they love such as sitcom shows.”
