LANSING, MI — The City of Lansing is reminding residents of the local fireworks ordinance that went into effect this week.
The city’s ordinance provides that fireworks can be lit within the following timeframes this week:
- From June 29th to July 4th between 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 p.m. on each of those days.
Violation of the ordinance could result in a $1,000 fine per infraction. To report illegal use of fireworks, please call the non-emergency Lansing Police Department line at 517-483-4600.
