LANSING, MI — Five new Neighborhood Testing sites are open in Michigan this week for COVID-19. The latest round brings the total to 17.
The new sites are in Lansing, Detroit, Niles, Saginaw and Wayne. More sites are planned for Benton Harbor, Grand Rapids, and Muskegon in the next several weeks.
The Michigan National Guard hosts a COVID-19 test site in St. Johns today at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. That’s 800 W. Sickles Street in St. Johns today from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
“Members of the Michigan National Guard, in partnering with the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as local health departments, continue to be a vital part of our state’s response to COVID-19 by testing thousands of people in communities across the state and distributing tens of thousands of pounds of food at community food banks,” said Maj. Gen. Paul Rogers, Adjutant General and Director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. “COVID-19 is still a very real threat to our state and we must all remain disciplined in our adherence to guidance from public health officials as we strive to protect ourselves, our families, and our communities from this disease.”
