LANSING, MI — Waverly Community Schools is closed today due to shortages in school staff, according to a report from our media partner Six News WLNS in Lansing.
According to an email sent to parents and a Facebook post from superintendant Kelly Blake, a combination of illnesses and lack of substitute teachers contributed to Friday’s closure.
“Due to district wide staff shortages, Waverly Community Schools is closed on Friday, November 19. The administration building will also be closed. If your student is currently registered, student centers will be open 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. There will be no Test to Stay available,” according to a statement on the school district’s website.
