LANSING,MI — Lansing businesswoman Kelly Rossman-McKinney passed away this week after a battle with cancer.
Rossman-McKinney is credited with breaking barriers for women in Lansing and earned credit for her work as a public relations professional. She had been diagnosed with Stage IV cancer in May 2020. Rossman-McKinney most recently led the communications team in Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office since 2019.
The Lansing-area Democrat later began a public relations firm from her kitchen table before founding a bipartisan public relations firm with Republican John Truscott in 2011. She retired from Truscott Rossman in June 2018.
