LANSING, MI — The former owner of a healthcare business in Lansing will spend one year and one day in federal prison for pleading guilty to filing a false income tax return.
Robert Nakfoor claimed fraudulent expenses for his business, Jessi Kay Home Care, from 2011 to 2015. The U.S. Justice Department says in 2015, Nakfoor claimed over one-million dollars in bogus contract labor and legal and professional services expenditures.
Nakfoor also has to pay the IRS over 480-thousand dollars in restitution.
