LANSING, MI — Traveling to and from work along M-99 in south Lansing has been a major challenge this summer. Now it’s about to become even more of a balancing act. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the M-99 entrance ramp to eastbound I-96 in Ingham County beginning Monday for resurfacing, according to a press release.
This work is part of a $15 million investment to rebuild M-99 from Holt Road to Edgewood Boulevard that will address pavement conditions, drainage and pedestrian improvements.
Drivers should follow the detour signs starting Monday. Traffic will be detoured via westbound I-96, Lansing Road Exit 98A, and then westbound Lansing Road to access eastbound I-96. Motorists should expect delays and are advised to seek alternate routes.
