SAN ANTONIO — Former MSU basketball star Bryn Forbes was arrested in San Antonio, Texas, on Wednesday after allegedly striking a woman “several times,” according to several local media reports.
Forbes, who has been in the league since 2016, is accused of strikinghis girlfriend several times causing “injury and pain,” according to police reports.
The 29-year-old played at MSU from 2013-2016 after transfering from Cleveland State. He went undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft but has been able to stake out a seven year career during stints with the San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves. The guard was released from the Timberwolves just two weeks ago.
Forbes posted bail and was released from Bexar County Jail on Wednesday while the police invesigation continues.
