LANSING, MI — The nine people arrested in connection with stealing vehicles from General Motors’ Grand River Assembly Plant in Lansing early Monday morning are from outside the area.
The suspects were arrested after a chase involving five stolen Chevrolet Camaros that ended in Oakland County. The chase went through Ingham and Livingston counties on I-96 and ended in Oakland county.
Eight of the suspects are from the Detroit area and one is from Saginaw and all are between 20 and 24-years-old. The suspects – all men – are being lodged in Lansing at city jail.
Another pack of stolen Camaros managed to escape the police during a pursuit. Those suspects are still being sought.
