LANSING, MI — Fishing will be free in Michigan this weekend with no fishing license required. Residents and even out of state visitors can fish on back-to-back days without a state fishing license. All catch limits and other regulations still will apply.
In addition to the free fishing you can enjoy complimentary admission to all Michigan State Parks those two days as the DNR waives the regulation Recreation Passport entry fee to all 103 parks.
This will be the first of two free fishing weekends in 2022 in Michigan. The state will also hold its summer Free Fishing Weekend June 11 and 12.
