DETROIT (WKZO) -- A man who has spent nearly 40 years behind bars is facing more charges for his plan to return to prison.
Tuesday, 60-year-old Timothy Daniels was charged for allegedly bringing two knives into federal courthouse to kill a judge and his probation officer on Monday. Daniels has been convicted of several charges including assault, credit card fraud and armed robbery in the past and was released from state prison last month.
According to a criminal complaint, Daniels walked into the court Monday afternoon with the knives concealed in his pockets and went to see his probation officer but decided not to kill her. Daniels then went to the U.S. Marshal's office, where he told authorities of his plan. He was arrested and if convicted on the latest charges he could face up to two years in federal prison.
