DETROIT (WKZO) -- City of Detroit employees and retirees are running short on time to complete their ballots on Motown's bankruptcy reorganization plan. They are deciding on accepting cuts to their pensions to avoid threatened cuts that would be even deeper to move the city out of bankruptcy.

Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr wants to eliminate future cost-of-living increases while cutting those adjustments from two-percent to one-percent for police and fire retirees. The ballots need to be in El Segundo, California by 5 p.m. Friday.
