Likely incoming UAW President promises aggressive stance

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKZO) -- The man who will likely become the next president of the United Auto Workers Union is vowing to fight for higher wages including the raising of the minimum wage to 15-dollars an hour.  UAW Secretary-Treasurer Dennis Williams made the comments in Washington on the last day of the union's conference.

Williams also said he will challenge conservatives who he claims are cutting unemployment benefits and hurting the poor.  He also promised to "bridge the gap" between new auto workers and veterans who are paid at different levels.
