Federal Judge recuses himself in terrorism case

DETROIT (WKZO) -- U.S. District Judge Paul Borman will not hear the immigration case of a woman convicted in Israel of bombing a supermarket in Jerusalem in 1969. Palestinian-American Rasmieh Odeh of Chicago is facing immigration charges in Detroit because it's where she entered the United States and did not admit to being convicted in Israel of terrorism.

Judge Borman issued a ruling Tuesday disclosing that at the time of the bombing, his family had a financial investment in the supermarket in Jerusalem that Odeh attacked, but added he has no personal bias against the defendant. Two people were killed.
