DETROIT (WKZO) -- Detroit business leaders took to the pages of three major newspapers Sunday with a full-page ad promoting the city. The ad was in the "Free Press", the "New York Times," and the "Washington Post" with a headline that says "Here's 250 Billion that says the City of Detroit has a very bright future".
Under the banner is a list of dozens of Detroit companies and the signatures of their leaders including Dan Gilbert of Quicken Loans, automotive leader Roger Penske and Christopher Ilitch, head of Ilitch Enterprises that includes Little Caesar's Pizza. The value of those companies listed is 250-billion dollars.
Gilbert has been a outspoken supporter of Detroit and his group "Opportunity Detroit" was responsible for the ad.
