ANN ARBOR (WKZO) -- The "Find my Mac" app on a stolen computer is being credited with helping police track down the three men accused of killing University of Michigan student Paul DeWolf this summer.

The "Detroit Free Press" reports the computer was swiped from a neighbor of DeWolf, and purchased off Craigslist by a Detroit man.  Police showed up after Apple was notified the computer was on, and the man told them he bought it from Shaquilele Jones and Joei Jordan.

Cell phone records showed Jordan's phone pinging towers near where DeWolf was murdered around the time he was killed, giving police the break in the case they needed.
