LANSING (WKZO) -- The last of four defendants in former Congressman Thaddeus McCotter's petition scandal has pleaded no contest in the case.

Wednesday, 58-year-old Mary Turnbull pleaded no contest to a felony count of conspiracy to commit a legal act in an illegal manner and a misdemeanor count of falsely signing a nominating petition.  An investigation by the Attorney General's office found members of the five-term congressman's staff had copied and altered petitions in order to qualify McCotter for the 2012 ballot.

Turnbull will be sentenced July 9th.
