DETROIT (WKZO) -- The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments over the constitutionality of Michigan's Proposal 2, passed in 2006.  The ballot measure outlawed Affirmative Action for government hiring and college and university admissions.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan's Mark Fancher says they will be arguing before the high court, citing two decisions by the U.S. Court of Appeals that the law violates the Equal Protection Clause.  Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette will defend the law.
