Earning a three seed the Spartans open the NCAA tourney on Thursday at the Palace of Auburn Hills against Horizon League Champ Valparaiso. Michigan State is 25-8 on the season, while 14th seeded Valpo is 26-7. It's Michigan State's 16th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
