GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- It looks as if the announcement from a developer with Colliers International this week may be premature. They announced that Whole Foods and Trader Joe's coming to the Grand Rapids area, and were already scouting for locations.

Reporters who checked directly with the grocers are now quoting them, saying they have no plans to come to West Michigan.

Trader Joe's says Grand Rapids does not fit into their two-year plan, while Whole Foods says they're not expanding here "anytime soon."
