Papa Roach was among the acts that rocked the crowd at the Download Festival in the U.K. over the weekend. Drummer Tony Palermo says that he’s always excited to perform at the annual event, especially because he’s been a fan of the fest since he was a kid.

“For me personally, Download has always been that festival that all of my favorite metal bands used to play at,” he tells ABC News Radio. “But for us as a band, I mean, it’s just one of the biggest festivals that you can play and be part of and we’re so privileged to be asked to come back here all the time.”

Palermo adds that he’s looking forward to getting back into the studio with Papa Roach once their tour is finished so they can begin working on their next album. “I think we’re gonna finish out...with the Euro run and then take, like, a month off,” he explains. “Then [we’ll] reconvene in the studio and start writing and recording hopefully by March, April of next year.”
