DETROIT (WKZO) -- Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and friend Bobby Ferguson will sentenced on racketeering and extortion charges in September.

U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Edmunds has revealed Kilpatrick will be sentenced September 3rd, while Ferguson will hear his fate on September 4th.  Kilpatrick was found guilty of 24 charges in March while Ferguson was convicted on nine counts.

The ex-mayor could receive a sentence of 20-years behind bars.
