Mumford & Sons, Imagine Dragons Have Top-Selling Album & Song of 2013 So Far

Since we've now reached the halfway point of 2013, Billboard has decided to take stock of which artists are leading the sales charge for the year.   So far, Mumford & Sons and Imagine Dragons are out in front.

Mumford & Sons’ Grammy-winning sophomore effort, Babel , is the year's best-selling album so far, having moved 884,000 copies.  The runner-up is Imagine Dragons’ debut album, Night Visions , which has racked up 692,000 copies. The Lumineers ' self-titled debut takes the #3 slot with 649,000 copies sold, while fun. ’s Some Nights is at #4, selling 506,000 copies.

Imagine Dragons may not have the top-selling rock album of the year, but they do have the year's biggest digital song. The group’s smash hit “Radioactive” has sold 3.24 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. As for Mumford & Sons, their single "I Will Wait" is at #4 on the list with 1.34 million copies sold.

The 10 top-selling rock songs of 2013 so far are:

3. Fall Out Boy -- "My Songs Known What You Did In the Dark (Light 'Em Up)," 1.96 million
4. Mumford & Sons -- "I Will Wait," 1.34 million
5. fun. -- "Carry On," 1.33 million
6. Phillip Phillips -- "Home," 1.32 million
7. Of Monsters and Men -- "Little Talks," 1.22 million
8. Imagine Dragons -- "It's Time," 1.20 million
9. AWOLNATION -- "Sail," 1.18 million
10. fun. -- "Some Nights," 911,000
