Skillet and August Burns Red are expected to make big debuts on the Billboard 200 album chart this week.
Skillet’s ninth studio album, Rise , is headed for the #1 spot on the tally, with projected sales putting it somewhere around 50,000 copies. If the predictions are true, this will be the band’s second top-10 album on the list, following 2009’s Awake . That release debuted and peaked at #2 on the chart, with 68,000 copies sold its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Meanwhile, August Burns Red is on course to score their first top-10 album on the chart. The group’s latest album, Rescue & Restore, is expected to nab the #2 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart, with projections putting its sales somewhere around 25,000 copies. August Burns Red’s fourth studio album, 2011’s Leveler , came the closest to the top 10 when it debuted and peaked at #11 on the list, racking up 29,000 copies its first week out, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be released on Wednesday.
