DETROIT (WKZO) -- Kwame Kilpatrick was back in federal court Monday morning after spending the weekend in a state prison in Detroit for parole violation.  An IRS agent testified that Kilpatrick was not in possession of a lot cash as his attorney has tried to imply.

Agent Carl Selz says his analysis of bank accounts found Kilpatrick spent large amounts of money quickly.  He told the court one sign that Kilpatrick was not hoarding money was the ex-mayor's purchase of suits on layaway

The jury also heard more about co-defendant Bobby Ferguson's finances.  A special agent with the E.P.A., who has investigated Ferguson for several years, told the court that Ferguson Enterprises took in nearly 125-million dollars from city contracts while Kwame Kilpatrick was mayor.
