The state of the city of Lansing is just fine thank you. Mayor Virg Bernero delivered his annual address last night. Foreclosures are down, home sales up and the city finances healthier overall. Gun violence is a concern, but overall, violent crime is down by a third. Bernero thinks it will drop even lower with the Lansing Police Department’s second gun boy back program beginning next month.
