YPSILANTI (WKZO) -- The Northern Illinois men's basketball team set a new low, literally, in Saturday's loss to Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti.
The Huskies scored just four points in the first half, breaking its own Division One record for fewest points in an opening half of a game in the shot clock era. On December 1st, NIU scored just five points against Dayton.
The Huskies shot three-point-two-percent in the half, which also set a record. Northern Illinois finished the game by hitting 8-of-61 shots, good for 13-point-one-percent, and another record.
Eastern Michigan, which had just lost to the WMU Broncos in Kalamazoo earlier in the week, won the game, 42-25.
