LANSING (WKZO) -- The 2012 hunting season was the safest in Michigan in five years, with the Department of Natural Resources reporting there was just one fatality among 15 incidents reported to them. In 2011, five people were killed in hunting incidents in the state. Last year's fatality came on September 20th when a coyote hunter shot and killed another hunter in St. Clair County in an accident.
