Pearl Jam has revealed that they’ll be performing at the home of Eddie Vedder ’s favorite baseball team this summer. On Wednesday, the band posted a picture on their Facebook page announcing that they'll be playing a concert at Wrigley Field -- the home of the Chicago Cubs -- on July 19. Tickets for the event will go on sale on February 9 at 10 a.m. CT.
While this is the first time the band is performing at Wrigley Field, Vedder himself has a long history of appearing at the stadium. The singer performed with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and Rage Against the Machine ’s Tom Morello at the venue on September 7 of last year. In addition, Vedder has sung the traditional seventh-inning stretch song, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” several times at Wrigley Field and back in 2007, he even threw out the first pitch at a Cubs home game.
