LANSING (WKZO) -- Majority Republicans in the Michigan Senate are looking for ways around President Obama's proposed gun control measures.

State Senator Phil Pavlov of St. Clair Township has introduced legislation that would exempt any weapons, accessories and ammunition made in Michigan from federal regulations.  Pavlov introduced a similar bill four years ago.

President Obama wants to ban ammunition clips with more than ten rounds and expand background checks for weapons purchases.
