The former chief of the DeWitt Area Emergency Services authority says he was forced out of the job. Robin Ballard was replaced last night by Assistant Chief Bob Farnum on an interim basis. The "Lansing State Journal" reports Ballard resigned Friday after being told he'd be fired if he didn't quit. He served for the last 18 years as chief.
