As expected, Hollywood Undead , Black Veil Brides and Dropkick Murphys have all scored positions in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week.
Hollywood Undead claimed the #2 spot with their third studio album, Notes from the Underground , which sold 53,000 copies, according to Nielsen Soundscan. Notes from the Underground ’s first-week sales performance marks the band’s second best sales week to date: their previous album, 2011’s American Tragedy , sold 66,000 its first week out.
Black Veil Brides scored their first top-10 debut at #7 with their concept album, Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones , which sold 42,000 copies, according to Nielsen Soundscan. The band’s last album, 2011’s Set the World on Fire , debuted much lower on the tally at #17 with 23,000 copies sold in its first week of release.
While The Lumineers self-titled debut album clings to the #8 slot on the list with 37,000 copies sold, Dropkick Murphys’ Signed and Sealed in Blood clocked in at #9. Signed and Sealed in Blood sold 33,000 copies, according to Nielsen Soundscan, making it the second top 10 album of the band’s career. The album’s predecessor, 2011’s Going Out in Style , peaked at #6 on the chart.
