LANSING (WKZO) -- Senator Debbie Stabenow will deliver the State of Michigan Agriculture address Tuesday. During the address at the 80th annual winter conference of the Michigan Agri-Business Association, Stabenow will focus on the future of agriculture in the state and talk about her efforts to strengthen this part of Michigan's economy.
Stabenow, the Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, will also talk about efforts in Washington to pass a five-year farm bill. This would reform farm payments, protect jobs, provide tools to protect farmers from disaster and cut spending by 24-billion dollars.
