DETROIT (WKZO) -- The former top attorney in the City of Detroit Law Department is considering running for mayor.  Krystal Crittendon has reportedly formed a committee to explore her options.

Crittendon was recently fired by Mayor Dave Bing and the City Council.  She upset the mayor last year by filing a lawsuit challenging the City of Detroit's consent agreement with the State of Michigan.  Bing tried to have Crittendon to remove shortly after the suit was filed but was rebuked by the council.

Last week, Bing again asked for support saying he did not appoint Crittendon and wanted to have his own appointee in the position.
