Mumford & Sons scored six nominations going into the Grammys this year, so it’s no surprise that the guys scored a number of nods for the event’s UK equivalent, the Brit Awards .
While Mumford’s latest album, Babel , will be competing against a number of groups for Best British Album, the guys will be duking it out against Coldplay and Muse for Best Live Act. Mumford will also face off against Muse a second time for Best British Group. In addition, both Mumford & Sons and Muse are scheduled to perform at the event.
But non-Brits also have a chance to scoop some awards at the ceremony, which will take place February 20 at London's O2 Arena. Among the U.S. stars nominated are The Black Keys , Alabama Shakes , fun. and The Killers , who are all up for Best International Group. Meanwhile, Jack White and Gotye will be competing for Best International Male.
