LANSING (WKZO) -- Three Upper Peninsula communities will share nearly 831,000-dollars in Community Development Block Grants from the state. The Village of Calumet will receive the most money at over 505,000-dollars for a downtown rental project involving rehabbing 13 unites in the former Morrison Street School. Chippewa County will receive 200,000-dollars for 26 homeowner rehabilitation projects, while Schoolcraft County is receiving 125,000-dollars for five homeowner projects, which include emergency repairs.
