LANSING (WKZO) -- Labor unions aren't going to forget the right-to-work passage last month during the lame duck session anytime soon.
MIRS News reports the AFL-CIO is calling for a protest at the Capitol tomorrow when lawmakers are sworn in for their next term. In an email obtained by the Lansing-based Capitol news bureau, Michigan AFL-CIO President Karla Swift is inviting all union members in the state to attend a march on the Capitol.
In an email, Swift says they want union voices heard after lawmakers "rammed through dozens of half-baked bills that hurt middle class families, undermine women's health care and harm local schools."
