The Black Keys have just announced that they will be joining forces with The Flaming Lips for a string of North American tour dates.  The trek begins on April 28 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City and will make stops in Pittsburgh, Atlanta and Nashville.

Before the bands hit the road together, they will both be appearing at this year’s edition of Lollapalooza Brazil, which takes place March 29-31 at The Jockey Club in Sao Paulo.  Other notable acts appearing at the festival include Pearl Jam , Queens of the Stone Age , A Perfect Circle , The Hives , Franz Ferdinand , Passion Pit and Alabama Shakes .

Tickets for most of the newly-announced tour dates will go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.  Here are the tour dates:

4/28 -- Kansas City, MO, Sprint Center
4/30 -- Pittsburgh, PA, CONSOL Energy Center
5/2 -- Atlanta, GA, Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood
5/3 -- Nashville, TN, Bridgestone Arena
