Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley has signed more 50 bills into law, acting on behalf of Governor Rick Snyder who is vacationing out of state. One measure requires crime victims to be notified within 24 hours if a suspect escapes custody and people who fail to report a dead body to authorities can now be charged with a misdemeanor.
