Police say a Holt woman opened fire last night to protect her home when a man broke in while she was home. It unfolded around midnight at a home near Cedar and Holt road. The intruder was shot several times and taken to Sparrow Hospital. Police are still on the scene trying to answer some of the questions surrounding the incident.
