The driver in that high speed police chase early Tuesday morning that began in Mason and ended near Leslie has been identified as a parolee from Williamston. 49-year old Norman Hile ran from police around 3 a.m. on Tuesday and wasn’t stopped until his vehicle ran off the road after striking a pair of stop sticks that flattened his car’s tires. Hile is being charged with being a four time habitual offender.
