LANSING, MI — After a blustery weekend across mid-Michigan, more heavy wind is going to cross the state today. The National Weather Service (NWS) has a issued a Wind Advisory for the Lansing area through 4:00 p.m. Thursday.
Isolated high winds of around 45 mile per hour are expected Thursday morning with shifting winds with some gusting up to 55 mph.
Consumers Energy says they are expecting scattered power outages to occur across the state as a result of the high winds. Tree damage and damage to unsecured outdoor objects is also expected, according to the NWS.
