LANSING (WKZO) -- At least for now, the state will stop running any more Pure Michigan ads that mention right-to-work.
The MEDC was blasted by some who said that the ads, running in the Wall Street Journal and other publications last month, politicized the tourism campaign and sent the wrong message about the state. Jim McBryde with the MEDC says, though, that with the passage of the legislation, it just made sense to let people know about it. He says it is legitimately part of the business climate in the state.
Pure Michigan is getting ready to run 13-million dollars in cable advertising nationwide that will air from March through June. Unless plans change, none of those ads will talk about right-to-work.
