Colin Greenwood has revealed that Radiohead will begin working on their next studio album later this year. The bassist says that the guys will hit the studio once frontman Thom Yorke finishes promoting Amok , the debut album of his side project, Atoms for Peace .
“We’re taking some time out whilst the…people are…doing some other stuff, doing their own things, and the plan is to get back together again [at the] end of summer,” he tells BBC Radio 6 .
In other Radiohead news, Yorke has revealed that he’ll be putting on three concerts to celebrate the release of Amok , which arrives in stores on February 26. Each of the events will feature DJ sets by Yorke and longtime Radiohead producer/engineer Nigel Godrich , along with special guests Actress and Throwing Snow in London on February 22 and Shed and Anstam in Berlin on March 8. Guest DJs for the New York City concert, which will take place on March 14 at Le Poisson Rouge, have yet to be announced.
