MARQUETTE (WKZO) -- Two Marquette television stations had their Emergency Alert Systems hacked this week, with viewers of WNMU and WBUP seeing a warning on their screen Monday afternoon of a zombie invasion.
The FBI says they are aware of the hacking, and say police have traced the hacker's signal. WBUP station manager Cynthia Thompson says the hacker is also responsible for a similar incident in Nebraska.
Tuesday, a radio station in Wisconsin played the hacked message, triggering the same EAS alert in La Crosse around 7:30 a.m.
