A group that includes Lansing native Earvin "Magic" Johnson and local businessman Joel Ferguson is in negotiations to develop the vacant Michigan State Fairgrounds site in Detroit. The new 500-thousand-square-foot mixed use project would include a movie theater, restaurants, townhouses and a senior living complex.
